According to PoliticalGateway.com, rapper Dj Quik is currently serving a 5-month jail sentence in California.
The cause of his sentence was based on an altercation he had with a family member.

For the past several months, Quik has performed live shows at the House of Blues venues all over U.S.
Fortunately, I was able to attend one of his shows with my family and friends (Shouts out to Team Rock-it).
HOB San Diego, a packed show that night, Performing his classic tracks [i.e. 'Pitch in on a Party,' 'Get Down,' 'Tonite', 'Trouble'].
‘Q’ came out with glass of cognac in hand, stage diving in the middle of his act, and filling crowd’s cups with champagne by the end.
